November is kind of an in-between month. Autumn is starting to fade away, the leaves have all fallen off the trees and the air is getting colder. More often than not, in the nothern states, snow has already fallen and the skies are usually gray.

In the middle of all this gloomy weather comes Thanksgiving. Families and friends gather round the tables to feast on turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, giblets and gravy, and other things that are traditional to whatever region they live in. They celebrate the first Thanksgiving when the pilgrims and indians met in peace and friendship and give thanks for all the blessings that have been given to them through the year.

I've always been curious about that first Thanksgiving. There are a lot of myths and folklore surrounding it. So, I set out to find as many facts as I could and here are the results. I hope you enjoy learning something about it, too.
