I think October is probably my favorite month out of the whole year. By this month, the leaves have all changed and the weather has a definite snap to it. The days are getting shorter and Halloween is right around the corner.All pagan background aside, it's such a neat holiday. When else (besides Mardi Gras) do adults get to play dress up and act outrageously?? We get to be kids again for one night.Kids get to pretend they are their favorite superhero or maybe something mythical like witches, ghosts, goblins or fairytale characters. Of course, there's the fun of trick or treating and getting enough candy to make them sick for days *giggle*.I think this was an interesting holiday to research because it's really a little mysterious, but a lot of fun. So, sit back, kick your feet up and have fun learning why we scare ourselves a little each year.
